Artist's Description
Oleander 'Harriet Newding' is very unusual; single; broad parchment-white petals with a deep red streak running along the middle of each one and a scattering of additional red dots. Medium-sized shrub, quite cold-tolerant. Probably a natural hybrid of Ed Barr and Hardy Red.
THE LONG WAY HOME is the fascinating story of how the Harriet Newding oleander, thought lost in the 2008 hurricane that devastated Galveston Island where it originated, made its way home.
